Traditional English pub in St Albans town centre, conveniently near the railway station, with spacious seating, a log burner to keep you warm in the winter and a serene, vibrant garden at the back for those​ wonderful summer days. Our house real ale is Harvey's Sussex Best. We also have two ever-rotating guest ales; along with traditional ciders, beers, wines and a lovely assortment of Rum and single malt Whisky!

  Fresh farm beef cooked in a rich mushroom and real ale gravy, shortcrust pastry base with a puff pastry pie lid.
• Chicken, Gammon, & Leek
  Tender chicken and traditional gammon in white wine, leek, and sage sauce, shortcrust pastry base with a crisp herbed rusk puff pastry lid.
• Venison & Smoked Bacon
  Tender cuts of venison and bacon in a rich tomato, onion, and rosemary gravy, shortcrust pastry base with a rosemary puff pastry lid.

  Diced slow-cooked leg of lamb with a little mint in a rosemary and redcurrant gravy, in a shortcrust pastry base with a puff pastry pie lid.

  Chunks of sweet potato and butternut squash in a Red Thai sweetcorn sauce with fresh basil and coriander, shortcrust vegan pastry base finished with a coconut pastry lid.
